My half of an art trade with the wonderful

She made me this marvelous portrait: [link] , and an older drawing that was one of my favorites long before I knew her personally [link] ! *

The crosses are backed with craft mirrors, set in net cabochon settings of my own design, with the cross woven in no exact stitch. (The earrings are matched to the mirror crosses.) The heart is in Peyote, bordered with a neat little faux twist I got from a book. The back of the necklace is formed by joining the chains together and continuing the links but gradually decreasing the size and number of links on the way to the clasp. This is the piece where I first started to use a chain-and-vine style necklace.
Materials: 11/0 seed beads in transparent scarlet, matte black, opaque AB red, black iris hex-cuts, 8/0 dark red purple-lined AB, 1” craft mirrors, steel toggle clasp.
